Privent Eye Drop, a first-generation non-competitive H1-antihistamine as well as mast cell stabilizer, is available in two forms. Firstly, the ophthalmic form is used for treating allergic conjunctivitis and secondly, the oral form is used to prevent anaphylaxis or asthma attacks, as well as different mast cell or allergic type health problems.

The ophthalmic form of Privent Eye Drop relieves and prevents most seasonal allergies such as irritation or itchiness of eyes and starts working within a few minutes of usage. The effects of this drug have not yet been studied on children under three. Apart from its anti-histaminic activity, it acts as a leukotriene antagonist and also as a phoshodiesterase inhibitor.
