Prochlorperazine falls under a category of drugs known as phenothiazine. It prevents feelings of extreme vomiting and nausea post-surgery or other kinds of medical treatment. It also treats schizophrenia.

On using this medication you may experience side effects such as lightheadedness, constipation, dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, dilated pupils, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, swelling of body parts, irregular heartbeat, drooling, muscle weakness, tiredness, unusual bleeding, restlessness, tremors, twitching, erectile dysfunction, headache, numbness and physical misbalance. Before using this medication inform your doctor if: you are allergic to any ingredient contained within Prochlorperazine, you are already taking any medications particularly astemizole, tramadol, terfenadine, pergolide, metoclopramide, dofetilide and cisapride.
