High uric acid diet includes alcohol,red meat,shrimp,prawns, canned food,tomatoes,dhal etc...Fluid intake is important....If there is redness /painful swelling use ice packs.. If feburic 40 MG hasn't helped u much,then need to increase the dose of it and probably an add on drug to it. Feburic 40mg was taken once or twice a day???Any other medicines on frequent use?

However, what effect the so called homeo medicine has is difficult to say. Taking it along with Febuxostat is no problem at all. Because most those (homeo)medications are like a placebo. I am sure you are also aware that there is a need to reduce purine(a type of protein) containing foods like certain fishes, red meat, organ meat, sweetened aerated drinks like cola and alcohol too as these will increase uric acid production in the body. To reduce increased uric acid one needs to avoid foods containing high purine containing foods like red meat, organ meat, certain sea foods (fishes like scallop, herring, haddock, salmon, mushrooms and mussels ). Also avoid sweetened aerated drinks & alcohol. The drug mentioned can be taken as 80 mg once a day. For a month or so then check the uric acid again. Stopping the drug may increase the levels again.
