Hello lybrate-user, superficial venous thrombosis is as such itself is not very dangerous, the important point is to find out why it has happened. A injury 4 years back (probably not that major as you could ignore that) is not very convincing as the primary cause. For burning at night, you can have methycobal 1500 mcg intramuscular injection.
Some sources say that vitamin b12 may be associated with acne. However further large scale studies are needed to confirm or refute it. You should get your vitamin b12 level checked and further decision, should be taken based on the result.
You must first consult orthopaedic surgeon, on his advice have x-ray done for cervical and thoracic spine ap and lateral. He may also advise mri. In the mean time he will prescribe you muscle relaxants and hot fomentation and muscle relaxant gel. Get a cervical pillow and if the doctor advises than you can go to physiotherapist for traaction, short wave diathermy and tens but do not do any exercises for neck. Cervical pillow may be advisable for you.
Hi lybrate-user,
yes taking vitamins in the morning can be continued for long term too. And as you correctly mention taking a statin (rosavel) at night is appropriate if you have hypercholesterolemia.
Dear Ms. lybrate-user,
your blood sugar control is excellent on your current medication continue this. In fact of you reduce weight by about 10-15 kg over the next 1 year with diet and exercise you will need much lower dose. You probably are b12 deficient this happens with metformin and that may make you feel low. Check b12 leves and if below 300 pg/ml start on methycobal 500 ug once daily as a vitamin supplement along with the morning dose of janumet. If this does not help matters take an online appointment and we will try to sort out your problem.

Hello,
your calf pain could be caused by a variety of conditions ranging from vitamin deficiencies, varicose veins and a spine problem.
You need to answer some specific questions to differentiate:
1. Is it a calf pain or you get multiple cramps in your calf?
2. Does the calf pain come on after walking and subside on taking rest?
3. Is it associated with tingling and burning sensations on your sole?
4. Do you have any dilated veins on your legs? 5. Do you have any other medical conditions like diabetes, thyroid, peripheral vascular disease and any treatment you are undertaking?
For the time being in can only tell you that vitamin b12 being low is one of the causes of calf pain, but not the only one. All other conditions need to be ruled out first before treating your b12 deficiency.
