Rablet D Capsule Sr

Rablet D Capsule is indicated for treating GERD (Gastro-esophageal reflux disease), which not responds to Rabeprazole medications alone. It prevents the tendency of vomiting and nausea in people suffering from gastrointestinal problems.

Rablet D Capsule Sr is a combination of Domperidone and Rabeprazole. The active ingredients, Domperidone and Rabeprazole fall under the class of dopamine antagonist and PPI (Proton pump inhibitor), respectively.

Rablet D Capsule is also prescribed to the patients of peptic ulcer and who take certain medicines for Parkinson’s disease. The medicine tightens the muscles near the entrance of the stomach and relaxes the ones present at the exit.

The action of this medication helps to speed up the passing of the food that you intake - from your stomach to your intestine, reducing the feeling of nausea and sickness, also preventing vomiting.

Rablet D Capsule medicine also works by blocking or reducing the stimulation in the ‘vomiting centre’ of your brain, which will eventually reduce the feeling of nausea and vomiting. The possible side effects of taking this medication can be headache, migraine, dryness of the mouth or breast pain.

You are advised not to take Rablet D Capsule Sr if you have the following conditions:

• An allergy to Rablet D Capsule Sr or any other ingredient of this medicine
• Bleeding problems or blockage in your stomach or in the intestine
• Tumour in the pituitary gland
• Cardiac disease
• Incorrect levels of magnesium, potassium or calcium in the blood
• Severe/moderate liver impairment

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

• Peptic Ulcer

• Allergy

  Rablet D Capsule Sr is not recommended for use in people having a known history of allergy to it.

• Tumor Of Pituitary Gland

  Rablet D Capsule Sr is not recommended for use in people having tumor of the pituitary gland.

• Heart Diseases

  Rablet D Capsule Sr is not recommended for use in people having an active heart disease like Congestive Heart Failure.

• Skin Rash

• Diarrhoea

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Weakness

• Insomnia

• Cough

• Stomach Pain

• Rhinitis

• Flatulence

• Dry Mouth

• How long is the duration of effect?

  The effect of this medicine lasts up to 6 hours.

• What is the onset of action?

  The peak effect of this medicine can be observed within 30 to 60 minutes of administration.

• Are there any pregnancy warnings?

  This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. The effect of this medicine on the fetus is not clearly established and hence you are advised to consult a doctor before taking this medicine.

• Is it habit forming?

  No habit forming tendencies were reported.

• Are there any breast-feeding warnings?

  This medicine is not recommended for use by breastfeeding mothers as there is a risk of side effects on the infant. You are advised to consult your doctors and consider the potential benefit and risks before consuming this medication.

• Is It safe with alcohol?

  Alcohol consumption is not safe while you are taking this medicine.

• Is it safe to drive while on this medicine?

  It is advised to avoid driving if you suffer from side-effects like dizziness and drowsiness.

• Does this affect kidney function?

  Patients who have impaired kidney function should not take this pill as it can lead to more kidney problems.

• Does this affect liver function?

  Patients who have impaired liver function should not take this pill as it can lead to more liver problems, including liver failure.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  Skip the missed dose and resume with the next scheduled dose at the right time. The dose should not get doubled in an attempt to make up for the missed dose.

• Are there any overdose instructions?

  Contact your doctor if an overdose is suspected. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, agitation, and convulsions and may be more prevalent in infants and children. Immediate medical attention including gastric lavage may be required in severe cases.

This medication attaches to the dopaminergic receptors without causing any release of the chemical dopamine. It, in turn, facilitates gastric emptying and decreases small bowel transit time. Also, it binds to H+/K+-exchanging ATPase in gastric parietal cells, resulting in blockage of acid secretion.

Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.

• Interaction with Lab Test

  The patients taking this medicine have been reported for false results, as it interacts with investigations of Neuroendocrine Tumors, Secretin Stimulation Test, Urine Tests for THC. Thus an alternative confirmatory test should be considered to verify the results.

• Interaction with Medicine

  Concomitant use of Antiretrovirals, warfarin, methotrexate, digoxin, Drugs Dependent on Gastric pH for Absorption (e.g., iron salts, erlotinib, dasatinib, nilotinib, mycophenolate mofetil, ketoconazole, itraconazole), tacrolimus, antiarrhythmics, apomorphine, protease inhibitors, systemic azole antifungals, some macrolides (erythromycin, clarithromycin and telithromycin) is contraindicated.

• Interaction with Disease

  This medicine can have negative interactions with certain diseases. These include asthma, impaired kidney function, and gastrointestinal toxicity.
