About Rastinon 500Mg Tablet

Rastinon 500Mg Tablet is a potassium channel blocker and sulfonylurea oral hypoglycemic medicine used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. This medication should be taken with proper diet and exercise as alone it is not sufficient to control diabetes.

It stimulates the secretion of natural insulin from the pancreas that helps lower blood sugar levels. The medicine should not be used if:

  • you have a condition of severe allergic reaction to it or any ingredient in it
  • you have diabetic coma or diabetic ketoacidosis, severe burns or acidosis
