About Ridinox 0.1% Eye Drop
Ridinox 0.1% Eye Drop prevents the growth and spread of herpes simplex virus and hence it falls in the category of antiviral drug. Therefore, it reduces and annihilates the present viruses in the body and prevents growth of any other viral microbes. Its main use is in the treatment of infections in the eye caused by herpes virus. The disease is called herpes simplex keratitis. In this disease the cornea becomes inflamed and reddened. It makes the eye irritated and light-sensitive or photophobic. Because of its cardiotoxic properties, Ridinox 0.1% Eye Drop is only topically used and administered.
Ridinox 0.1% Eye Drop does not have any efficacy against bacterial or fungal infection in the eyes, hence applying it in such cases will prove result less. Also the dropper with which it is administered in the eye should be clean and sterile.
There are no major side effects known of this medicine. It is safe and harmless. Though in some cases temporary burning, irritation, stinging, itching, redness, eyelid flapping and itching, or sestivity to light of some kind may occur.
