About Solvin Cough Syrup
Solvin Cough Syrup is a combination of an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of histamine in the body and an antitussive which act in the CNS to raise the threshold of cough centre and act peripherally in the respiratory tract to reduce tussal impulses, or both these action . It is used for relieving symptoms of sinus pressure, sinus congestion, runny nose, itching of the throat and nose, watery eyes, and sneezing due to upper respiratory infections, hay fever and allergies.
You are advised to not use this medicine if you are allergic to it or if you are taking or have taken sodium oxybate, furazolidone or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within the last 14 days. Before using this drug, inform your doctor if you have breathing problems, glaucoma, heart problems, liver disease, high blood pressure, seizures, overactive thyroid, stomach problems or urination problems.
Some adverse effects include dizziness, confusion, anxiety, constipation, nausea, restlessness, blurred vision, dry mouth, decreased coordination, irritability, shallow breathing, hallucinations, tinnitus, problems with memory or concentration and trouble urinating.
You can take this syrup through oral route, with or without food. This medicine is usually recommended only for a short time until your symptoms are cleared. Do not take it for longer than 7 days in a row.
