Spasmonil Drop

An antispasmodic, Spasmonil Drop is used for the treatment of a specific type of intestinal disorder called irritable bowels syndrome. It reduces the symptoms of intestinal and stomach cramping. This medicine works by slowing down the natural movements of the gut and by relaxing the stomach and intestine muscles.

This medication must not be used in children younger than 6 months old and in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Before using this medication, inform your doctor if you have a history of glaucoma, enlarged prostate, urination problems, high blood pressure, nervous system problems, myasthenia gravis, liver, heart, thyroid, intestinal or kidney problems.

The medication is to be taken by mouth, with or without food as instructed by your doctor, usually 4 times a day. The dosage is based on your age, medical condition, and your response to the medicine. Your doctor may direct you to start this medication at a low dose and gradually increase your dose to decrease the risk of side effects.
