Symbal 20 MG Tablet

This tablet is commonly used for treating generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, nerve pain associated with diabetes, fibromyalgia pain and chronic muscle or joint pain. Belonging to the drug group known as serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, the medication balances the chemicals in the brain causing anxiety and depression.

This tablet is available in capsule form, to be taken orally. You can take it with food or without it. However, it is better to take it with food to prevent nausea. The dosage depends on your age, health condition and how your body responds to the treatment. The doctor may prescribe a small dose initially and then increase it gradually.

  Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose should be skipped.

This medicine is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine thus increasing its levels in the brain and helps in relieving the symptoms of depression. It weakly inhibits the reuptake of dopamine.
