Syndopa Plus Tablet

Syndopa Plus tablet is a combination medicine which is used to treat Parkinson’s and other associated disease with similar symptoms. It is used to cure symptoms like shakiness, stiffness, tremors, spasms, shivering and slow movements.

Its active ingredients include Carbidopa and Levodopa. Syndopa Plus helps increase dopamine levels in brain which in turn reduces the above mentioned symptoms.

It is advisable to inform the doctor about current medication (vitamins and herbal supplements), health conditions like pregnancy or possible surgeries and allergies.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  Take the missed dose of Syndopa Plus tablet as soon as you notice it. However, do not take the medicine if it is too near the next consecutive dose.

• Are there any overdose instructions?

  Do not consume Syndopa Plus tablets more than the required dose. Overdose can lead to serious and damaging side effects. In case of over dose seek immediate medical help.

This is an amino-acid precursor of dopamine which has antiparkinson properties. Levodopa crosses the blood-brain barrier and is decarboxylated to dopamine, which is then available to activate dopaminergic receptors. It compensates for the reduced supply of dopamine observed in Parkinson’s disease. Carbidopa works as a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor, hence prevents the levodopa breakdown and allow it to enter the brain and increase the level of dopamine.
