About Taximax 1500 mg Injection
The drug is composed of Cefotaxime, Sulbactam and aids in the treatment of certain types of bacterial infections. It is a penicillin antibiotic, which blocks the growth of the bacterial cell wall, thus killing it in the process.
The medicine is not meant for consumption in case of those patients who have mononucleosis or suffer from liver issues. Persons who are allergic to any particular component in this medicine should avoid taking it as well.

How does this medication work?
The drug belongs to the third-generation cephalosporins. It works as a bactericidal by inhibiting the bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins which would inhibit the growth and multiplication of bacteria. The medicine also works as a beta-lactamase inhibitor by binding to beta-lactamase enzyme produced by bacterial cells, which in turn inhibits its enzymatic action and prevents beta-lactam antibiotics from being metabolized by the enzyme.
