About Timer -2 Er Tablet

Timer -2 Er Tablet is a drug that is used on treating patients suffering from type 2 Diabetes, who cant control blood sugar levels through diet and exercise alone. Hence this drug is used to enhance the positive effects of diet and exercise with respect to blood sugar. It is also used in combination with other anti-diabetic medicines. It is a type of sulfonylurea anti diabetic medicine, that helps the pancreas in releasing insulin thus helping reduce the blood sugar level. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfonylureas.

Hence this drug is used to enhance the effects of diet and exercise. It is also used along with other anti-diabetic medicines. It is a type of sulfonylurea anti diabetic medicine which helps the pancreas in releasing insulin thus helping reduce the blood sugar level.It belongs to a class of drugs known as sulfonylureas. Timer -2 Er Tablet is available in oral tablet form.

Before starting a course of the medication, there are certain precautions that need to be taken. Firstly, any form of allergy must be mentioned to the the consulting doctor. Also, if you have any history of kidney or liver diseases, it should be mentioned to the doctor.

Timer -2 Er Tablet makes the skin much more sensitive to the sun. Hence, if you are using this medication, use sunscreen to avoid skin problems. Limit the intake of alcohol during medication. Also inform the doctor if you are currently using any prescribed drugs or diet supplement. This drug shouldn’t be used by pregnant women. If you had a surgery recently, it is advisable not to take this medicine. The starting dose for Timer -2 Er Tablet is a 1mg tablet once every day.

Timer -2 Er Tablet might cause certain side effects as well. The common side effects arising due to the intake of Timer -2 Er Tablet are: anxiety, irritability, sweating, dizziness, headache, fatigue, weakness etc. Generally these side effects are mild and go away on their own after a few days. If it doesn’t, then it’s important to seek medical care immediately. There might be some severe side effects too in rare cases. It might cause severe low blood sugar in some cases. It might also result in symptoms such as seizures, weakness, blurred vision etc. It can also cause allergic reactions like anaphylaxis which causes swelling of tongue or throat and causes difficulty in breathing. Some other side effects are stomach swelling, vomiting, nausea etc. Such severe side effects must be treated immediately.

Timer -2 Er Tablet should be stored at a temperature between 20 to 25 degree celcius. It should be kept away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the drug away from the reach of the children and pets.

      Timer -2 Er Tablet is used in the lowering of abnormally high levels of lipids in the blood.

    • Mixed Dyslipidemia

      Timer -2 Er Tablet is used to reduce high levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood (main constituents of body fat in humans and other animals, as well as vegetable fat). It also increases the levels of high density cholesterol.

    • Hypertriglyceridemia

      Timer -2 Er Tablet is used in the lowering of triglycerides in the blood.

    • Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia

      Timer -2 Er Tablet is also used in the management of blood cholesterol and lipid levels in cases where the condition is inherited.

    • Prevention Of Cardiovascular Diseases

      Timer -2 Er Tablet is used in the prevention of stroke and heart attack if you are at risk due to conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Heart Disease etc. It is also used in people who don't have an active disease but are exposed to multiple risk factors like smoking, age, family history of occurrence etc.
