This tablet is generally prescribed to stop heavy bleeding. It works as an antifibrinolytic and thus stops the blood clots from disintegrating very fast, which in turn reduces menstrual bleeding. This tablet also helps in stopping excessive bleeding from capillaries or vessels.

Patients are generally discouraged from taking this medicine if-

• They are allergic to any component present in the drug
• They have a problem of blood clots that are present in the brain, eye, or lungs.

This tablet works via a dual mechanism and includes medicine Tranexamic Acid and Ethamsylate. It is used in order to stop excessive bleeding. Tranexamic Acid acts on enzyme plasmin which is primarily responsible for the dissolution of clots. It binds to the plasmin receptors and preserves the clot formed. Ethamsylate acts by stabilizing the walls of the capillary and correcting the abnormal adhesion of platelets.
