About Triglynase 2 Tablet Sr

This medication is composed of Glimepiride, Metformin, Pioglitazone and used for treating patients suffering from type 2 Diabetes. It is a type of sulfonylurea antidiabetic medicine, that helps the pancreas in releasing insulin thus reducing the blood sugar level. Before starting a course of the medication, there are certain precautions that need to be taken. Firstly, any form of allergy must be mentioned to the consulting doctor.

Avoid using this drug if you have any history of kidney or liver diseases. Also, inform the doctor if you are currently using any prescribed drugs or diet supplement.     How does this medication work?

    The drug lowers the blood glucose by stimulating the release of insulin from pancreatic beta cells. It decreases glucose production in the liver, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, and improves insulin sensitivity by increasing bodies glucose uptake and utilization. The tablet activates peroxisome proliferator activator receptor causing an increase in the production of components that breaks down lipids and glucose in the body. It also increases insulin response without effecting its secretion.
