Valto P 40Mg Injection is a drug for short term treatment of post-operative pain in adults, and is injected as a solution, in dosages amounting to 40mg at first, and as required post that. The injection can be administered rapidly directly to the vein or slowly into the muscles. Valto P 40Mg Injection is converted to Valdecoxib in the body, which acts as a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It reduces production of prostaglandis which is responsible for the inflammation. It is categorized as an anti-inflammatory and anti rheumatic product.
The most common side effect of Valto P 40Mg Injection is nausea and is seen in more than 1 in 10 patients. This medicines must not be administered to children, patients with history of allergic reaction to this group of medicines, stomach disorders like ulcer or bleeding, bronchospasm, severe liver disorders, bowel diseases which have high inflammatory tendencies, weak cardiac history with cases of heart failure, heart disease, arterial diseases, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
Valto P 40Mg Injection also should not be given to women who are in their last 3 months of pregnancy or are breastfeeding their babies. It is not recommended for people after bypass surgery or similar surgical medical procedures.
