About Wikoryl DS Syrup
This medication is an antihistaminic medication used in combination with an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist and NSAID. It works by specifically blocking the action of histamine in the body. The syrup helps in relieving symptoms of sinus pressure and sinus congestion. It also manages symptoms such as runny nose, itching of the throat and nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.
You are advised to not take this syrup if you are allergic to it. Also avoid if you have taken sodium oxybate, furazolidone or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. It is advised to inform your doctor if you have breathing problems, glaucoma, heart problems, liver disease and urination problems.
Some adverse effects include dizziness, confusion, anxiety, constipation, nausea, restlessness, blurred vision, dry mouth, decreased coordination, irritability, shallow breathing, hallucinations and tinnitus.
