About Wikoryl L Tablet

This medication is composed of Caffeine, Paracetamol/Acetaminophen, Levocetirizine and Phenylephrine. It is used for the treatment of common cold symptoms. This medicine stops to induce chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for the pain and fever. It works as an antiallergic agent to heal allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Also, it works as a stimulant due to the presence of Caffeine. This increases reactivity of paracetamol and reduces the sleepiness due to levocetirizine. It is a decongestant as well converge the small blood vessels to provide temporary cure from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.

Consuming too much amount of this drug may lead to same considerable side effects such as

  • Restlessness and shakiness
  • Dizziness
  • Insomnia
  • Abnormal heart rhythm
  • Anxiety
  • Dehydration

      This medication may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol. Taking caffeine with alcohol may impair the motor coordination.

      This medicine is extremely unsafe to be used during pregnancy. Studies carried out on humans and animals have shown significant adverse effects on the fetus. Doctor consultation is recommended in such cases.
