Wokride 75 Mg/20 Mg Capsule

Wokride 75 Mg/20 Mg Capsule is a combination medication, primarily used for treating ulcerative GERD. It is also prescribed for erosive healing, maintenance of ulcerative GERD, duodenal ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome and chronic gastritis. Recently, it has also come to be used in the treatment of hypersecretory conditions that include Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

On using Wokride 75 Mg/20 Mg Capsule the associated side effects that you may suffer from are disorientation, delirium, the elevation of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), rhabdomyolysis, bullous, erythema multiforme, drug-induced diarrhoea, twitching, tremor, weight gain or akathisia.

In certain severe cases, you may experience jaundice, interstitial pneumonia, tardive dyskinesia, gynecomastia (a disorder of the endocrine system where there is an enlargement of the male breast size). In the latter case it will be necessary for you to seek medical attention.

Before using this medication it is advised that you consult your doctor and tell him/her if you had/have or are:

• Pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant.
• Nursing a baby
• Taking any prescriptive or over the counter drugs, herbals medications or dietary supplements.
• A recent surgery or are scheduled for one in the near future.
• Pheochromocytoma or gastrointestinal perforation.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped.

• Are there any overdose instructions?

  Contact a doctor if an overdose with Wokride 75 Mg/20 Mg Capsule is suspected. Symptoms of overdose may include excessive drowsiness, fall in blood pressure, agitation, coma, etc.

This medicine is a combination of Levosulpiride and Rabeprazole. These two belongs to neuroleptic and PPI class respectively. Thus this medicine works via the dual mechanism.

Firstly, it works by selectively binding to dopamine receptors in the brain and the periphery. This action results in an increased tone of muscles in the gastrointestinal tract. Secondly, it binds to H+/K+-exchanging ATPase in gastric parietal cells, resulting in blockage of acid secretion.

Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.

  Concomitant use of this medication must be avoid with diltiazem, pregabalin, sucralfate, tramadol, aluminium hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide, ipratropium, warfarin, cyclosporine, narcotics, anticholinergic agents and analgesics.

  The patient must inform the doctor if he/she been suffering from heart diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, prolactin imbalance, neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), or asthma.
