This drug encourages antineoplastic function by blocking DNA methyltransferace at reduced concentration, resulting in DNA hypomethylation and direct cytotoxicity in disputed hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow through its administration into DNA and RNA at high concentration, thereby causing cell death.
