About Zetri 500 MG Injection

Zetri 500 MG Injection is used for treating bacterial infections. It is administered to the patient in the form of an injection. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria such as gonorrhoea (infection of a female reproductive organ), pelvic inflammatory disease and also infections of lungs, skin, blood, bones, joints, and abdomen.

This medicine belongs to a class of medications known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by killing the bacteria. It should always be taken under a doctor’s guidance.

This medicine should always be taken under a doctor’s guidance. It comes in the form of powder which is mixed with liquid and then injected intravenously (into a vein) over a period of 30 to 60 minutes. However, sometimes it is also injected into a muscle. It is usually injected as a single dose. Sometimes it is injected multiple times with a gap of 4 to 14 days between doses.

This medication should always be taken under the supervision of a medical expert. There are also some other precautions you need to take. Firstly check if you have any allergies to any of the ingredients of it. Also, inform the consulting doctor about any prescribed drugs or dietary supplements that you are currently taking to avoid side effects.

      Zetri 500 MG Injection treats meningitis, which is an inflammation of the protective membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord. It is caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Neisseria meningitidis.

    • Bacterial Septicemia

      Zetri 500 MG Injection helps in treating septicemia which is an infection of the blood caused by Staphylococci and Streptococcus pyogenes.

    • Gonococcal Infection

      It is used to cure gonococcal infection which is a sexually transmitted bacterial infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

    • Urinary Tract Infection

      It treats infections of the urinary tract caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

    • Pneumonia

      Zetri 500 MG Injection is used to cure community-acquired pneumonia. It is a common type of lung infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.

    • Bone And Joint Infections

      Zetri 500 MG Injection is used to cure bone and joint infections like septic arthritis and osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococci and Streptococci species.

    • Skin And Structure Infection

      Zetri 500 MG Injection helps in treating Skin and structure infection like cellulitis, wound infection and cutaneous abscess caused by Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus.
