About Absolute Monocyte Count Test

Absolute Monocyte Count Test is done on blood sample in order to measure the amount of monocyte in blood. Monocytes are a kind of white blood cells which are important in fighting against infections and diseases. They are also required by our body to eliminate damaged tissues and cancer cells, thus regulating the resistance to foreign substances. This test s performed in order to detect and help in the process of diagnosing Tuberculosis, Brucellosis and several infections.
