Hello Dr. I want to know difference between diarrhoea and dysentery. Please response.
DIARRHOEA IS PASSING LOOSE OR WATERY MOTION MORE TIMES THAT THE PERSON'S BOWEL HABITS. FOR EXAMPLE A PERSON USUALLY PASSING STOOLS ONCE PER DAY START PASSING LOOSE STOOLS 4 TIMES A DAY --THEN HE HAS DIARRHOEA.---- IN THESE CASES-- IF BLOOD AND/OR MUCUS IS PRESENT IN STOOLS WITH OR WITH OUT SYMPTOMS LIKE TENESMUS(FREQUENT AND URGENT FEELING THAT YOU NEED TO PASS STOOLS ,EVEN IF YOUR BOWELS ARE EMPTY) OR FEVER ;PAIN ABDOMEN ETC--THEN IT IS DYSENTERY--BOTH MAY HAVE COMPLICATION OF DEHYDRATION .
