Geeta Ji, Thanks for the query.
Madam I have seen the details mentioned. Your fasting is too high & PP is also quite high. Taking Metformin 500 mg once a day is unlikely to be any benefit. There is a need to give an appropriate treatment so that the glucose levels are controlled as required. Ideally FBG should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.5%, this is because you are quite young.
Now that you are interested in discontinuing modern medicines and shift to Ayrvedic drugs, well you can do that. However, after shifting to that medication please check your fasting, PP & HbA1c% and then you will come to know what is the benefit. In India we have close 7.5 crores of diabetes patients. If Ayurvedic drugs were really effective, the scenario would have been totally different. But that is not so. I do not want to discourage you from your decision. However, please be careful and check glucose levels more often. If you have any questions please do come back. In my experience, the drugs you are thinking about can be at best a supportive therapy. Thanks.
