No, don't use, it's not safe for your age.

Absolutely Not. Steroids are dangerous medicines. Especially for Diabetes. Firstly, no muscle bulk is added to your body because of steroids. Steroids just enable your muscles to retain more water. Over-hydrated muscles look bulkier and shapely but this chemical transformation of your muscles doesn't last long and this look fades away very quickly. What remains forever are the nasty side effects of steroids on the entire body - Bones become brittle - and fracture easily, cataract formation in the eye lens happens fast, eye must also develop blurry vision due to glaucoma, pimples or acne develop overnight, Blood pressure starts to rise etc. These are general side effects. The side effects for diabetics are worse. They develop Oral hypoglycaemic agent failure and may have to switch on Insulin forever. They may develop sinister infections like Tuberculosis. There wounds stop healing. Kidney may undergo failure. Now you can make your choice!

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. By saying steroids, I think you are referring to anabolic drugs which do help in increasing the muscle bulk. But they have serious long term side effects like causing gynecomastia (increased breast size), liver problem. They are generally bad. Plus diabetes can be aggravated. So my advise is not go for those. Instead take special protein supplements, more eggs and do exercise under the guidance of a professional trainer, that will help in building muscles on long term basis. Thanks.
