Hello, I'm 26 weeks pregnant, all these days I have got blood pressure 120 /80 but at 24 week checkup I got 130 /90. Doctor recommended BP tablet and again in 26 week checkup, its 120/80. Should I use BP tablets always? It's normal from the beginning. Once it's around 130 in later week, its normal again. Please suggest me. Is it good if I use BP tablets even if I don't have blood pressure?

You should not stop taking antihypertensive medicines on your own, follow your doctor's advice ,BP is under control by taking medicines ,on stopping them it may rise again. BP medicines should not be abruptly stopped ,they should be gradually tapered.

There should be a very close monitoring of BP during pregnancy ,moreover if it is fluctuating. There are also associated blood and urine test which helps to take a decision. Get everything checked properly before stopping the medicine.
