Hi, I switched from birth control pills to implanon and it?s severely effecting my mood, it?s been 3 weeks since I got it and this week has been like a rollercoaster including several breakdowns at work. Should I get it removed?

The intradermal insertion of implanon is a hormonal device and the hormones are the cause of mood changes your feel. Generally, the feeling will subside and most women who take pills also have such effects. You can, however, use non-hormonal pill once in a week the saheli pills or intrauterine contraceptive copper t can also be useful.
