I've ocd and now under treatment. I want to how can I stop taking this medicines gradually. Can you please provide me dosages according to that. I'm taking flunil 10 mg in morning every alt day and etizola 0.25 mg in night. Please respond to this message.

If you have ocd. Please read up on some information about it which can help you understand the disorder and how to control it. The medicine you have mentioned, flunil is effective for ocd only at higher doses. If you have reduced it on your own or if a psychiatrist has reduced it, you can follow his advice. But if you still have symptoms, its advisable to continue it. I'll just give you an idea here of the average dose ranges and duration of this medicine. Flunil is effective for depression or anxiety at doses of 20-60 mg and for ocd between doses of 60 - 120 mg. It has to be taken for around 6 to 9 months. If all this has been done and then you are on a taper schedule then continue it. Also remember that ocd typically has a waxing and waning course and usually presents late. So if you have ocd first recheck the diagnosis; also please visit a clinical psychologist and ask for cbt to be done. Please undergo 10-12 sessions of cbt. In combination with medicnes, its highly effective for ocd. Till then, you can do a google search for 'thought stopping' or 'thought distraction' and follow the advice.
