Hi, can I take levothyroxine 13 mcg with arogyavardhini vati (i take only 1 daily- should I increase dose) thank you. My thyroid levels are increasing and although clinically ok, I have too many symptoms and ruled out everything. So the doctor is checking how I do with a very low dose of levothyroxine.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. I have seen the query. However, there is no specific information on either tsh t4 levels. Without knowing those it is not possible to give any opinion. The words like "increasing levels or normal level" do not give any idea of the exact situation. So please come back with specific details like t3, t4 & tsh current or very recent levels and also if you have done anti tpo antibodies, mention that too. As regards taking the ayurvedic preparation mentioned, I have no idea what it does. In a well controlled hypothyroidism patient tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l and t4 is with in the specified range (<12 ng/dl). If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
