I hv been taking losar beta regularly for high bp which was prescribed by a cardiologist since 2016. The consulting cardio passed away in 2019. My bp has generally been under control. Recently a local gp whom I had visited for flu changed my blood pressure medication totsart mcl 25 which in his opinion was a better alternative to losar beta. Can you advise if I should make the switch to start or continue with losar beta. I have no other health issues.

Hi if bp well controlled with previous medication, do not change the drugs. If bp not controlled, then only uptitrate the dose or change the drug. Regards.

Losar beta is a 2-drug FDC, vs Tsart-MCL is a 3-drug FDC. They have different efficacy. I would suggest you follow your doctor's recommendation.
