Hi, rickets is mainly due to deficiency of vitamin D and also to some extent deficiency of calcium. I would recommend you to expose the child to sunlight. Increase milk based diet. Also oral vitamin D supplements can be added based on clinical finding by pediatrician. It can be resolved if managed appropriately and early with no long term difficulty in walking or posture. Anyway, If it is nutritional rickets, give him supplement Calcium 500 to 600 mg daily n Vitamine D 600000 units once in a week for 5 weeks, whole body sun exposure for 1/2 to 1 hour besides good ca rich diet like milk n its product dal soya etc. Baby shall start walking.
