About Diclomol Tablet
Diclomol Tablet is an anti-inflammatory painkiller. This non-steroidal drug is used to alleviate symptoms of arthritis such as inflammation, pain, fever and swollen joints. It is used in the treatment of conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylosis and severe menstrual pain.
Diclomol Tablet works by obstructing the production of cyclooxygenase, which synthesizes the compound called prostaglandin. This compound is responsible for symptoms of arthritis such as pain, swelling and inflammation. Therefore, Diclomol Tablet is effective in providing pain relief.
The effect of each tablet lasts for 11 to 12 hours. Therefore, the standard recommended dosage is twice a day. It is advisable to take this medication only under the guidance and recommendation of a medical practitioner. You should continue taking this medication until you have completed the course, and discontinue as per the instructions of your doctor.
Pregnant women, women trying to conceive, smokers and alcoholics should avoid taking Diclomol Tablet, since it can have harmful effects. It is important to notify your doctor before beginning a course of this medicine, if you suffer from disorders such as-

- High cholesterol levels,
- Diabetes,
- Asthma or
- Bleeding disorder.
In certain cases, it is imperative to inform your doctor before starting a course of this medication. People who are about to undergo a bypass heart surgery or have an allergy to other anti-inflammatory painkillers should not take Diclomol Tablet.
Management of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) intoxication is primarily supportive and symptomatic. Fluid therapy is commonly effective in managing the hypotension that may occur following an acute NSAID overdose, except when this is due to an acute blood loss.
Take this medication exactly as directed; do not increase dose without consulting prescriber. Do not crush or chew tablets. Take with 8 ounces of water, along with food or milk products to reduce GI distress.
Maintain adequate fluid intake (2-3 L/day of fluids unless instructed to restrict fluid intake). Avoid excessive alcohol, aspirin and aspirin-containing medication, and all other anti-inflammatory medications unless consulting prescriber.

Diclomol Tablet is used to relieve acute pain in migraine.
Diclomol Tablet is used to relieve swelling and pain in joints.
Tendinitis
Diclomol Tablet is used to relieve pain and swelling associated with the tissue connecting the muscle and bones.
What are the contraindications of Diclomol Tablet ?
Diclomol Tablet is not recommended if you have a known history of allergy to medicines belonging to NSAIDs. Severe allergic conditions like Asthma and Urticaria can be triggered in such cases.
Peptic Ulcer
3Diclomol Tablet is not recommended if you have peptic ulcer or are suspected of having it. It could cause severe swelling and bleeding in the stomach, colon and anus.
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (Cabg)
Diclomol Tablet is not recommended for relieving pain after you have undergone CABG.
