PIVKA-II (Decarboxy Prothrombine) Test in Neyveli, Chennai

The protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonists-II (PIVKA-II) or Decarboxy-Prothrombine (DCP) test is used as a tumor marker to aid in the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). HCC is a primary malignancy of the liver and occurs predominantly in patients with underlying chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. Liver cancer grows silently with mild or no symptoms until advanced.
