Allergy Apple Test aims at determining allergy towards apple by measuring the levels of IgE antibodies or apple allergens in the blood of a person. Allergy towards apple is either due to the direct sensitization to apple fruit or else to the pollen or latex or any other foods. Apple allergy is generally observed in the people pertaining to North Europe and Mediterranean countries. Most of the people residing in North Europe develop a birch-pollen allergy, which is caused due to the similarity between apple protein and that of birch protein. People of Mediterranean countries with apple allergy, develop an allergy towards peach fruit but develop adverse reactions towards this because of similar allergens in both fruits.
