Fish allergies are one of the most commonly found food allergies. They are most widely experienced in adults. Allergy to the codfish occurs due to the presence of IgE antibodies in the fish. Symptoms such as skin rash, headaches, sneezing, and nausea after the consumption of codfish indicate the presence of an allergy. Serious symptoms such as anaphylaxis present the need for an immediate Allergy Codfish test. This test is done as a blood test or skin prick method to analyse the presence and composition of allergens in the blood. The former is more painless in comparison to the latter.
