About Allergy - Curry Santa Maria Test

In English usage, 'Curry' refers to Eastern-style spice mixtures – powders or pastes. Curry mixtures originate in India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. The term Allergy Santa Maria is in reference to allergy from Curry. Spices may uncommonly induce symptoms of food allergy in sensitized individuals. Symptoms are usually mild but vary from itching and smarting of the lips and mouth to anaphylaxis. This test is performed on a sample of human blood to measure the level of IgE Antibodies in the blood.
