Cardiolipin antibody and lupus anticoagulant is used along with the tests of Beta-2 glycoprotein 1 antibody to help detect the cause of the thrombotic episode or recurrent miscarriages caused due to unexplained blood clot. It is done if a blood clot is suspected in a vein or artery. Short of breath, pain in the upper and lower limb extremities and headache are the common symptoms when the above mentioned test is recommended.
