A culture test is conducted in order to detect the presence of bacteria or fungi which may the reason for an infection. On the other hand, a sensitivity test is performed to determine the kind of medication that needs to be employed in order to overcome the infection, if detected. This particular culture and sensitivity test is performed in the groin area (area/junction between the leg and the abdomen) to detect the level of contamination in that area by antibodies and bacteria. Presence of these undesired pathogens and germs may be the cause of an infection and needs to be detected at the earliest.
