This test is used to diagnose lupus formation caused due to continuous drug consumption. Its presence is indicative of autoimmune disorder, joint pain and many more. If the patient has been taking a drug for a very long period from several weeks to years then he/she is advised to undergo histone antibody test in case of appearance of abnormalities in normal bodily functions. Patients of arthritis, malignancy, and liver disease are reported with histone antibody formation.
