The test helps to diagnose the presence of HLA-B27 which is associated with certain autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases which may include: Ankylosing spondylitis: It causes inflammation of the bones in your spine. Reactive arthritis: It causes inflammation of the joints, urethra and eyes which may sometimes lesions on your skin. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis could be diagnosed.
