LE Cells test is done in order to identify, lupus cells in the person, through a blood test. Previously this test was used for diagnosing Systematic Lupus Erythematosus, but now it has been replaced by Anti-nuclear Antibody Blood test which is considered as the standard criteria. It is caused by the presence of antibodies that are defense proteins which weaken wide range of tissues. It also causes effects on kidneys, brain, heart, lungs, skin as well as joints. Identification for performing LE cells test are fever, rashes, joint pains, fatigue or light sensitivity. Though there are various methods of testing LE cells, still safety method is to collect the blood sample.
