About 24 hrs urine albumin Test

Albuminuria describes the existence of albumin in the urine. Albuminuria reflects a kidney problem that causes the passage of these proteins in the urine while they should normally remain in the blood. Albumin can be demonstrated by using a urine strip called 24-hrs-urine-albumin Test, which uses a colors part that reacts to the presence of proteins. This screening method may be supplemented, if necessary by further urine tests. In this case, the search for albumin in the urine is done in the laboratory, on a sample of the first-morning urination, then, if necessary, on a collection of urine carried out for 24 hours.
