Asthma is a common long term inflammatory disease of lungs. It is characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm. Symptoms include series of wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. These series of episodes occur few times for a day or few times in a week depending on the person. It becomes worse at night or when the person does exercises. Asthma caused by environmental or genetic interactions with a combination of both. Those two factors influence both its severity and its responsiveness to treatment. Recent studies show that it increasing due to changing in epigenetics (hereditary i.e., DNA sequence) and change in living environment.
