AMH is produced by the granulosa cells lining the ovarian follicles so it is used to determine the number of antral follicles in the ovaries. AMH levels decrease with growing age and don't change suddenly during the menstrual cycle. AMH levels not vary during the menstrual cycle and can be determined even on non-menstrual days. A blood test is done to check the AMH level of the patient.
