About Chericof 12

Chericof 12 provides temporary relief from dry cough due to minor throat irritation. Also, it is primarily prescribed to treat cold and sneezing occurred due to seasonal allergic rhinitis or urticaria.

Chericof 12 is an antihistamine in combination with a cough suppressant that works by blocking the action of histamine in the body. It is used for relieving symptoms of sinus pressure, sinus congestion, runny nose, itching of the throat and nose, watery eyes, and sneezing due to upper respiratory infections, hay fever, and allergies.

Some adverse effects of Chericof 12 include confusion, anxiety, restlessness, blurred vision, dry mouth, decreased coordination, and irritability. Before using this medication you should notify your doctor if you have or are:

  • Allergic to this drug
  • Taking or have taken sodium oxybate, furazolidone or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within the last 14 days
  • Breathing problems, glaucoma, heart problems, liver disease, high blood pressure, etc
