Esoz D 40 Capsule Sr

Esoz D 40 Capsule is indicated for treating GERD (Gastro-esophageal reflux disease), which does not respond to Esomeprazole medications alone. It prevents the tendency of vomiting and nausea in people suffering from gastrointestinal problems.

Esoz D 40 Capsule Sr is a combination of Domperidone and Esomeprazole. The active ingredients fall under the class of dopamine antagonist and PPI (Proton pump inhibitor), respectively.

Esoz D 40 Capsule is also prescribed to the patients of peptic ulcer and who take certain medicines for Parkinson’s disease. The medicine tightens the muscles near the entrance of the stomach and relaxes the ones present at the exit.

The action of this medication helps to speed up the passing of the food that you intake - from your stomach to your intestine, reducing the feeling of nausea and sickness, also preventing vomiting.

Esoz D 40 Capsule medicine also works by blocking or reducing the stimulation in the ‘vomiting centre’ of your brain, which will eventually reduce the feeling of nausea and vomiting. The possible side effects of taking this medication can be headache, migraine, dryness of the mouth or breast pain.

You are advised not to take Esoz D 40 Capsule Sr if you have the following conditions:

• An allergy to Esoz D 40 Capsule Sr or any other ingredient of this medicine
• Bleeding problems or blockage in your stomach or in the intestine
• Tumour in the pituitary gland
• Cardiac disease
• Incorrect levels of magnesium, potassium or calcium in the blood
• Severe/moderate liver impairment

  Esoz D 40 Capsule is not recommended for use in people having an active heart disease like Congestive Heart Failure.

• How long is the duration of effect?

  The effect of this medicine lasts up to 6 hours.

  The peak effect of this medicine can be observed within 30 to 60 minutes of administration.

  Esoz D 40 Capsule should be avoided by pregnant women unless suggested by the doctor. The effect of this medicine on fetus is not clearly established and hence, doctor consultation is recommended before consumption.
