मोटापा (Obesity) क्या है?

मोटापा (Obesity) एक शब्द है जिसका उपयोग शरीर की अत्यधिक फैट का वर्णन करने के लिए ‎किया जाता है. यह वजन शरीर के पानी, फैट, हड्डी और मांसपेशियों से आ सकता है. ‎मोटापा तब होता है जब आप अपने शरीर के उपयोग की तुलना में अधिक कैलोरी का सेवन ‎करना शुरू करते हैं. कई कारक आपके वजन को प्रभावित कर सकते हैं जैसे कि शारीरिक रूप से सक्रिय न होना, ‎उच्च वसा वाले खाद्य पदार्थों और आनुवंशिक मेकअप (genetic makeup) का सेवन करना. मोटे ‎होने से आपके स्वास्थ्य पर बहुत अधिक जटिलताएँ हो सकती हैं जैसे कि कैंसर, गठिया, स्ट्रोक, हृदय रोग और ‎मधुमेह का खतरा हो सकता है.

मोटापा (Obesity) किन कारणों से होता है?‎

अत्यधिक कैलोरी का सेवन करना – आजकल लोग पिछली पीढ़ी की तुलना में अधिक भोजन खाते ‎हैं. यह विकसित राष्ट्रों में हुआ करता था, लेकिन अब यह प्रवृत्ति दुनिया भर में फैल गई है. लोग ‎बहुत अधिक मीठे पेय का सेवन करते हैं जो कार्बोहाइड्रेट का निर्माण करता ‎है. फास्ट फूड से भी वजन काफी हद तक बढ़ सकता है.

स्थिर जीवन शैली का नेतृत्व करना – डिशवॉशर, वाशिंग मशीन, रिमोट कंट्रोल, वीडियो गेम, कंप्यूटर ‎और टीवी के ‎आगमन के साथ, लोग कम सक्रिय हो गए हैं और अपने काम को करने से इनकार कर रहे हैं. आप जितने ‎कम सक्रिय होते हैं, उतनी कम कैलोरी आप जलाते हैं. शारीरिक गतिविधियों में व्यस्त रहना भी आपके लिए फायदेमंद है क्योंकि यह आपके इंसुलिन के स्तर को स्थिर रखता ‎है. यह आपको मधुमेह के विकास से बचाता है. नींद न आना – अध्ययनों से पता चलता है कि यदि आप पर्याप्त नींद नहीं लेते हैं तो आप मोटापे से ग्रस्त ‎‎हो सकते हैं. बच्चे और वयस्क दोनों इस जोखिम का सामना करते हैं. ‎अध्ययनों से पता चलता है कि हार्मोन में बदलाव के परिणामस्वरूप बढ़ती भूख के कारण नींद ‎की कमी मोटापे का कारण बन सकती है. नींद की कमी से आपके शरीर में लेप्टिन (leptin) (एक हार्मोन जो भूख कम करता है) की कम मात्रा का उत्पादन करता है.

दवाएं – कुछ दवाएं जो लोगों को शरीर के अत्यधिक वजन पर प्रभाव डालती हैं. जो लोग ‎पहले से ही अधिक वजन वाले हैं, उन्हें मोटे होने से बचने के लिए कुछ वैकल्पिक चिकित्सा का चयन करना चाहिए.

मोटापे (Obesity) का इलाज कैसे करें?‎

  • आहार में बदलाव- साबुत अनाज, सब्जियों और फलों का सेवन कम करने की सलाह दी जाती है. वसा, परिष्कृत कार्बोहाइड्रेटऔर चीनी की खपत को कम करना महत्वपूर्ण है. कम कैलोरी आहार आमतौर पर आहार विशेषज्ञ या एक स्वास्थ्य देखभाल पेशेवर द्वारा निर्धारित ‎किया जाता है.
  • शारीरिक गतिविधि- वजन कम करने के लिए टहलना, आउटडोर खेल खेलना जैसी शारीरिक गतिविधियों में संलग्न होना उचित है.
  • प्रिस्क्रिप्शन दवाएं- इन दवाओं को अंतिम उपाय माना जाना चाहिए, अगर मरीजों को ‎वजन कम करना बहुत मुश्किल लगता है.
  • वेट लॉस सर्जरी - इसे बैरियाट्रिक सर्जरी के नाम से भी ‎जाना जाता है. यह प्रक्रिया केवल रुग्ण मोटे लोगों के लिए अनुशंसित है.

My fps is 125, ppbs 165, hba1c 7.4 doctor has prescribed istamet 50/500. Taking since last 45 days one tablet daily at breakfast time. But sugar reading not reducing. Pl advise.

I am diabetic patient and my sugar level is fasting 100 and post meal is 150 and hba1c is 7.2 I have hypertension also and also gone to stent in my heart my b.p.is always 120/80 now days I am taking medicine oxra 5 mg and vilda 50/500 twice day for b.p. Olmezest am40 starpress xl 25 novastat cv 20 aspisol 75 and ivabrad 10 od after taking this medicine my triglycerides is 296 and vldl is 54 I think statins are not working. Sometimes my heart beat is near about 114 to 119 so doctor has started ivabrad 10 od. Please advise me.
