About Lithium Test

Lithium test is used to detect the level of lithium in your blood. Though lithium is used to cure few chronic disorders if the level of lithium increases in your blood it can cause many of the dangerous diseases. Lithium test is done through a simple blood test. It’s a simple and easy test to give do require any complex process. Lithium or the antipsychotic drug is used to cure patients with bipolar disorders or the manic disorders. A bipolar disorder like extremely low mood or extremely excited mood and to treat patients suffering from depression. The doses of lithium must be adequate and according to the requirement of the patient and any extra doses can cause toxicity in blood. Generally, the doses are given in smaller amount and through lithium test, the level is then adjusted according to the requirement of the patient
