The Banana sensitivity test requires blood investigation. However, it does not need any advance preparation, yet you should need to watch what you drink and eat. Tell your doctor about any ongoing and past medical treatment. He will give explicit instructions after examining the condition and suggest some medicine for immediate relief. Keep away from the possible allergy-causing food and medicines. Wear a loose dress with short sleeve. The uncovered arm makes it easier to collect blood sample or having a prick test. Being loose-fitting dress it provides comfort, even if it sweats.
Banana allergy can be associated with the allergy to pollens of trees and the latex allergy. Birch-pollen allergy reveals the symptoms instantly. Latex-fruit syndrome or latex allergy is the banana allergy caused due to similar allergens in banana and latex (rubber). The allergen is based on your medical history.
The test is quick and can be carried in the doctor’s cabin.
2. Blood test

Clean the skin at the place from where the blood has to be collected with an antiseptic dipped cotton swab.
Pierce the needle in the vein. Draw blood in the syringe and transfer to serum separator tube.
Make a thin smear on a glass slide.
Apply allergen banana on it.
