Allergen, Individual-Occupational Isocynate Hdi Test

Isocyanate HDI allergy test will be useful to establish the diagnosis of an allergic disease and to define the allergens responsible for eliciting signs and symptoms. Isocyanates are widely used in the production of polyurethane plastics, glues and paints. Individuals at risk are polyurethane foam makers, upholsterers, spray painters, wire coating workers, plastic molders, rubber workers, fabric coaters, metal rod coaters, truck body insulators and persons applying artificial turf and others. Isocyanate HDI allergy test will be useful to identify allergens which may be responsible for allergic disease and/or anaphylactic episode, to confirm sensitization to particular allergens prior to beginning immunotherapy, and to investigate the specificity of allergic reactions to insect venom allergens, drugs, or chemical allergens.

Fasting is not required for this test. Testing for IgE antibodies is not useful in patients previously treated with immunotherapy to determine if residual clinical sensitivity exists, or in patients in whom the medical management does not depend upon identification of allergen specificity.

Isocyanate HDI allergy test provides an indication of the immune response to allergen that may be associated with allergic disease. Isocyanate HDI allergy test will determine if you are allergic to Isocyanate HDI. The test doesn’t cause any unnecessary or painful reactions by introducing potential allergens to your system. Allergen results of 0.10-0.34 kU/L are intended for specialist use as the clinical relevance is undetermined. Even though increasing ranges are reflective of increasing concentrations of allergen-specific IgE, these concentrations may not correlate with the degree of clinical response or skin testing results when challenged with a specific allergen.

Testing for IgE antibodies is not useful in patients previously treated with immunotherapy to determine if residual clinical sensitivity exists, or in patients in whom the medical management does not depend upon identification of allergen specificity. In individuals predisposed to develop allergic disease, the sequence of sensitization and clinical manifestations proceed as follows: eczema and respiratory disease in infants and children under 5 years due to food sensitivity followed by respiratory disease in older children and adults due to sensitivity to inhalant allergens. Some individuals with clinically insignificant sensitivity to allergens may have measurable levels of IgE antibodies in serum, and results must be interpreted in the clinical context.
